The False Mirror project, which was begun in 2017, is an open-ended VR initiative. The primary goal was to explore and create a virtual inner space, emphasizing the process rather than the outcome. The project aimed to utilize imagination and engineering to construct new living spaces and confrontations. Over time, this process became a means of exercising agency that was not possible in the surrounding reality. 

From my point of view, the attempt was to synthesize a reality that buffers conflict imposed in the everyday enforced chaos of the Middle East, a situation that is never chosen but always given. 

After five years of experimentation, I decided to share the results of the project with the public. This simulated world is an accumulation of many overlapping and layered interactive systems that may not be entirely compatible or fluent. Therefore, it is essential to be aware that it may be technically unstable and, at times, frustrating. I hope you understand this and enjoy the experience.
